Underground ISIS prison discovered in Western Mosul

Iraqi government workers removed dead bodies from inside a newly liberated underground prison that had been run by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL), in western Mosul on Sunday. Iraqi troops discovered the jail while they were engaged in fighting to liberate Mosul’s western districts. Several dozen inmates were detained in the jail, according to media reports.
